THE TARES WILL BE TAKEN FIRST

By Pastor J. Blake
"The Bible states that the tares will be taken first during the harvest. The harvest is the end of the world or age. The harvest is a time of the wicked. The Scripture states in St. Matthew 13:30 "Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, gather you together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn."

"THE TARES WILL BE TAKEN FIRST"

The Bible states that the tares will be taken first during the harvest. The harvest is the end of the world or age. The harvest is a time of the wicked. The Scripture states in St. Matthew 13:30 "Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, gather you together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

When we compare the tares and the wheat, the tares are the wicked. The Bible states in Matthew 13: 38-39, the field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one. Verse 39-The enemy that sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the world; and reapers are the angels.

The traditional doctrine teaches that the saints will not go through great tribulation, but the Bible teaches that the saints will go through.  In St. Luke 17: 26-27-And as it was in the days of Noah so shalt it be also in the days of the Son of man. The Bible compares the days of Noah with the days of the Son of man. When we observe the events that happened in those days with the events in our day, the wicked continues to be sinful. The Bible states in Daniel 12: 9-10-"And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Verse 10- Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

The Bible states that the righteous will remain on the earth and the wicked will be removed. Proverbs 2: 21-22-"For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it." Verse 22- "But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it."

The harvest time is a time of trouble, the Bible declares in Joel 2:12- Let the heathen, be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. Verse 13- Put you in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the vats overflow; for their wickedness is great."

My friend, you can see sin is reaching its fullness and the Lord is going to deal with it. The Bible states in Joel 3:14-"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision." The wicked does not discern the times nor the season. Proverbs 28: 5- Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things. The Bible declares that the children of the day will understand the times and seasons. 1st Thessalonians 5:1-But the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write unto you. Verse-2- For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. Verse 3-For when they shall say, peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

My friend this is the time of birth pain for the world. The Bible states in 1st Thessalonians 5:4 " But you brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief." The Lord is describing to the Christians what will happen when his wrath is poured out on the world. The Lord is encouraging the Christians what to do. The mature Christian should not be frighten about the events that's happening in the world, because the perfect will of God is being complete. The Bible states in 1st Thessalonians 5:5- "You are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness."

The religious system that is controlled by man's wisdom has deceived the world with this doctrine of escape. Jesus Christ said, "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil." (St. John 17:15)  The Lord is not going to turn over this world to the devil and the wicked people. There are no scriptures to support that doctrine. The Bibles states in Revelation 11:15- "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

If Jesus Christ died for the saints to become priests and kings to reign in the earth, why would God turn it over to the devil and the wicked people? The Word of God stands against this false doctrine.

This doctrine of escape has made the saints lazy. They refuse to grow up into maturity. They are sitting around waiting for the Lord Jesus to do what he has called them to do. This is one of the reasons why I am writing this article about the tares. The Lord Jesus Christ wants his spiritual body to carry out their responsibility.

According to Ephesians 4:12-13 the five-fold ministry is: "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: verse 13- Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ."

Those Christians who have failed to be obedient to the word of God will not be able to overcome great tribulation. The Bible states in Hosea 4:6- " My people (saints) are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because they have rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."

The pastors and ministers who fail to teach the whole counsel of God will be severely judged by the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord will judge the people on this earth, and the Lord will not continue to put up with sin. The Bible states in 1st Corinthians 11: 32- " But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world."

All Christians will not be judged along with the world. There will be some saints who will escape the wrath of God in the earth. There will be a mature overcoming church that will escape the wrath of God. The Bible states in Psalm 91:3-"Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence; verse-10- There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plaque come nigh thy dwelling. Verse 11- "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep the in all thy ways."

The Lord made a promise to keep the righteous(Christians) in the time of trouble. The Lord kept Abraham, Lot, Moses, Noah and the children of Israel in their day of trouble. The Lord will keep you if you will trust him.

The Bible states in 2nd Peter 1:4- " Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partaker of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." There will be a remnant that will overcome all things; and remain in the earth. The Bible states in Revelation 15:1- 2- "And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the last plaques; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. Verse 2- And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

I have found through much prayer and rightly dividing the Word of God that the traditional teaching about the wicked reigning on the earth, and the saints being removed is not Biblical.

The scriptures should to be studied prayerfully, with an open heart and mind.  In doing so, God will reveal his word.  My conclusion is that His word is the final answer.
